The 3POD Tilt Head with Arca-Type Quick Release and Lever-Lock Clamp is one of the finest camera platform for many monopods, superclamps and grips, as well as tripods, suction-cup bases, and action camera mounts. The built-in Arca-type quick-release system with Thumb Lever locking provides the user with fast mounting and dismounting of their camera. A single locking knob provides easy front-to-rear axis tilt control. The head will support up to 11 lb, certainly suited to support a wide variety of gear.Head Mounting EaseInstall by screwing the head clockwise onto the 3/8" mounting thread of the top plate of the target support item, such as a monopod.Positioning AdjustmentHorizontal rotation or panning is accomplished by swiveling the monopod on its foot. Front to rear angle or tilt adjustments is done by first loosening the Tilt Lock Knob. Hold the support equipment firmly to balance weight of the camera. Position the tilt as desired and tighten the Knob securely.Quick Release PlateThe 3POD Tilt Head incorporates the Arca Quick Release Plate system with the ease of Thumb Lever locking. Arca is the proven and most widely adopted QR plate exchange. Extra QR Plates are recommended to leave attached to each camera/imaging device or when rapidly mounting and dismounting gear.Quick Release Locking LeverThe innovative Thumb Lock Quick Release system offers levels of security for your imaging gear. remove the Quick Release Plate by a flip of the Plate Locking Lever. The Quick Release Plate jaws will open and remove the QR plate. Reconnect the Quick Release Plate, insert the angled part of the Plate into the groove on the opposite side of the Locking Levers and press down flat. Flip the Thumb Lock toward the head plate to grasp the QR Plate firmly between the jaw clamp sides.
