The LEDs are battery powered and have adjustable settings that allow for a low light to 6-hour time or ON in low light and OFF at full light, a unique design feature not offered anywhere else. The accurate quartz movement uses (1) AA battery, and the LEDs are powered by (4) D Cell batteries (not included).
